1. Introduction
At Now Playing Card (NPC), we respect your privacy. We built this tool to
help you share your music, not to harvest your data. This policy explains exactly what we
collect and why.
2. What We Collect
To provide the service, we collect minimal data:
- Account Information: When you sign up, we store your email address, username,
and avatar. If you use Google Login, we receive your basic profile info from them.
- Now Playing Data: We store the metadata of the tracks you broadcast to us (Title,
Artist, Album, Artwork URL, Duration). This is the core function of the app.
- Device Information: We store a unique identifier for each device you connect
to manage your broadcasting keys.
3. How We Use Data
We use your data solely to:
- Generate your "Now Playing" status cards and JSON endpoints.
- Show your listening history on your personal dashboard.
- Authenticate you and secure your device connections.
We do not sell your data to third parties or use it for advertising.
4. Data Retention & Deletion
Listening History: We keep a log of your broadcasted tracks so you can view your
history. You can clear this history at any time from your dashboard.
Account Deletion: You can request full account deletion, which will permanently
remove your user profile, devices, and all listening history from our database.
5. Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party providers to run our infrastructure:
- Google: For authentication (OAuth).
- Cloud Providers: For secure hosting and database storage.
